Royale Legend Crest Twin-Tip Baitcaster Rod and Reel Combo

Absolutely great reel. Can cast almost anything I want to throw, and is a very reliable, versatile rod. Great for bass fishing.

Absolutely junk marketed by the Royale Legend branding. My reel handle grips are so slippery had to add hockey grip tape to use. In addition, every half dozen casts the gears don't fully engage and it kinda grinds while retrieving sometimes slipping into full lock sometimes not. The rod is decent and comparable to other KK im6 modulus rods but the bookkeeper is also extremely slippery and needs extra care with getting the right down angle to keep any hooks. This is awkward on a boat and just cumbersome on a kayak! I've used it 6 hours so return not an option per KK return policy. Repair is a joke as parts aren't covered just labor so I'm not investing any more into this combo given all the issues with the line. Do yourself a favor and avoid the "Crest" editions at least in baitcasting versions. I'm not going to gamble on a spinning combo as I expect products to function normally at least a few trips on the water.
