Kapstan Saltwater Spinning Rod

Can't recommend the new Kastking Kapstan Rod or Kastking for that matter. Bought two of the 7' Medium Heavy version of this Kapstan rod from the Kastking website with high hoped based on some of the reviews on Amazon. While setting up the rods with a reel I noticed the line weight rating was labeled as 40-80oz (ounces), rather than lbs (pounds). This immediately raised a red flag, because it makes it obvious Kastking does not have a quality control program in their manufacturing facility, as a defect like this should've been caught prior to release for shipment. If a blatant defect like this is not caught, I highly doubt they're performing quality inspections for anything else and their specification claims cannot be trusted, if they aren't actually inspecting for defects. After scanning through other reviews on Amazon after the fact, I noticed other reviewers here posted pictures showing the same misprint defect, so it's not a one off defect, butwidespread.

It took KastKing 5 days to finally approve a return. Their customer service averages one response every other day and no one picks up the phone.

Caught a lot of fish with this rod.

Very good rod and reel like the rest of there products Kapstan rid same blank as the Kong so you know it’s gonna be a good rod I have switched all my other rods reels to Kastking

The MH fast rod was great fishing on the pier.

Kastking does a great job of packing their rod for shipment. This rod came with 8 fugi eyes plus tip, most rods only come with 6 plus tip. The quality of the rod is excellent. Price is great. I haven't had the chance to bow up on a bull red or shark yet so i can't say how it preform under load, I have no doubt it will hold up well. Would I buy another one, Yes !
